Here is a very useful document I’ve been contributing to www.bcs.org/datacode, it’s a simple and easy to read guide that will enable organisations that handle personal data to do so with the minimum of risk and cost.

I’ve edited this EURIM document http://www.eurim.org.uk/activities/pubproc/0904-Good_Practice_in_Procurement.pdf, its a useful guide to politicians and senior civil servants on what they can do to improve the chances that projects will be successful.
